At the age of 27, Aron Ralston became stranded with no water and little food, and was forced to amputate his arm in order to survive. He then spent 127 hours wading through a desert canyon and climbing back up to mountain top, before finally stumbling onto a nearby town — all the while thinking about how it would feel for someone to rescue him. This true story is now turned into a 2012 Hollywood motion picture starring James Franco as Aron. The film contains scenes of sacrifice as well as scenes of triumph over adversity. The entire 126 minutes can now be downloaded on utorrent for free. In the movie, Aron Ralston is a mountain climber in Salt Lake City. He has a climbing partner who is quite a bit smaller in stature. The two go off to a remote mountain together to climb up and down. They finally make it to the top of the mountain and are about ready to start back down when they hear something in the distance. The climbers nearly overlook it coming from the road itself, but merely thought that someone was just passing through on their way back down. However, once at the top of the mountain, they find that it's being closed off by heavy duty chains that have been tied around tree branches with their ends hanging lower than the ground. The two then decide that it's most likely some sort of training exercise by the US military, and they continue on their journey down the mountain. Once they get closer to the bottom however, they find out what had really happened. They happen upon a small opening in the road (the result of a rock slide) where they notice that there is no guard rail on one side of the road but there is on the other. This causes them to want to investigate. As they're sitting there looking at this, they hear something big in the road, and when they're finally able to look down into it, all that Ralston sees is a truck's headlights just barely peeking over into his view. This is what caused their vehicles to nearly collide. The two then continue on their way down the mountain, and they agree that they need to take a right back onto the road once they get far enough down from it. In order to do this, though, they have to go down a pretty steep rock face, and they know that once their feet hit the ground, it's going to be at least a 45-minute hike from there up the creek bed and back onto the road. The two attempt several times and finally succeed in getting off of this exact spot by using vines that hang from trees that allow them to swing off over the edge of the cliff. It's a pretty dangerous thing to do, but they both make it down onto the creek bed by doing this. After doing so, they see a light off of in the distance, and they decide to walk over to it. When they get there, they find out that it's Steve "Fossi" Fossett on his private jet on the ground just outside of the airport there. He had landed there because his been engine had been on fire, and he hadn't been able to put it out until he landed on the ground there at this small airport. The two wait around for him while realizing that they need gas for their car so that they can get back onto the road again.
